To shift the origin.We are a group of individual investors who identify a very small number of situations at the intersections of emerging technologies.Acentric describes a structure with no center of symmetry — one whose properties come from how its parts sit relative to each other rather than from a core.The most consequential technologies of the coming decade will not improve steadily. They are developing separately, in the open, on their own timelines, and each is analyzed on its own. What is not priced is where they cross — where a result in one field removes the constraint that has been holding another in place. When that happens, industries reorganize in a single move.We follow five: artificial intelligence, biotechnology, next-generation energy, quantum computing, and space technology. We are indifferent to most of what happens inside them. We are intensely interested in the rare points where two or more cross, because that is where the reorganization originates and where it is least likely to have been anticipated. Those crossings are where we concentrate. We measure our judgment in five- to ten-year intervals rather than quarters.

We invest our own money. We do not raise, accept, or deploy outside capital. We manage nothing on behalf of anyone. We are not a fund, an adviser, or a firm.We do not accept unsolicited proposals, introductions, or pitch decks, and we do not review them. Every position originates in our own research — deep, slow, and deliberately narrow.We examine opportunities together and invest apart. Research and analysis are shared and argued to conclusion.
